Tami Snow is a native Mainer who spent her childhood weekends on the Maine coast painting with well-known local artists as part of the Western Maine Art Group. Art and creativity have threaded through her personal and professional life and continue to be a part of her everyday. Her passion for creativity took her into marketing, brand story telling and apparel design, but the hands-on creative process has remained a driving force in her life. While painting was originally Tami’s primary medium, fifteen years ago printmaking captured her heart. After years of painting and illustration (a doodling habit from childhood that just couldn’t be kicked) Tami embraced printmaking and mixed media as good vehicles to build on in which to further her story telling career. Now residing in Santa Barbara with her husband and two daughters, she brings to life a passion for art, an optimistic outlook, a desire to share knowledge and a drive to do whatever she can to make the world a better place.

Statement of Context, Content and Intention.

My work is identifiable by a confident use of line, color and simple bold forms.

I draw inspiration from everyday life and explore themes of hope, generosity, love, family and the simple and quirky joys of life. I reach into the memories, experiences and emotions that I feel are personal yet universal. My art is represented in a range of multi-media including painting, hand printing and collagraph techniques. I try to demonstrate a sense of optimism, accessibility and fun that are paramount to my own spirit.
